Pangasinense - Who is he?

Who is Pangsinense?

Many people miss-interpret either word "pangasinense" is referring to the people of Pangasinan or the local dialect. Most books word "pangasinense or oangasinan" referring to people of Pangasinan and the language which is spoken along the central part in such towns as Alaminos, Mabini, Sual, Labrador, Lingayen, Bugallon, Aguilar, Managtarem, Urbiztondo, Binmaley, Dagupan, Calasiao, santa Barbara, Basista, Bayambang, Malasiqui, San Fabian, Mangaldan, San Jacinto, Pozorrubio, and Mapandan. Where Ilocano is the predominant language in the western towns of Anda, Bani, Agno, Burgos, Dasol, and Infanta.

"The Pangasinan (Pangasinan:Totoon Pangasinan, Spanish: pangasinense) are the eight largest Filipino ethnolinguistic group. They are the residents or indigenous peoples of the Province of Pangasinan, one of the provinces of the Republic of the Philippines, located on the west central area in the island of Luzon along Lingayen Gulf. The term Pangasinan can also refer to the indigenous speakers of the Pangasinan language, or people of Pangasinan heritage.
The name Pangasinan means "land of salt" or "place of salt-making"; it is derived from asin, the word for "salt" in the Pangasinan language. The Pangasinan people are also called taga-Pangasinan, which means "from Pangasinan" in the Pangasinan language. The estimated population of the Pangasinan people in the province of Pangasinan is 1.5 million. The rest of the population of the province are mostly Ilocanos and Sambal."

Pangasinenses are know for their being thrifty, industrious, perseverance and farsightedness. Other characteristics of Pangasinense and common to most of the Filipinos are importance of family and loving.
